My brains hurt over finding out someone who paid for ISP, not the computer or the house the stuff sits in, changed out the router to an ethernet media switch and my home group is nowhere to be found. I actually only used the home group because that was all I knew. My printers are no longer acknowledged and both were set up as wireless. Both printers were also "All in One Printers" and I don't know the first thing about setting up correct ports or even which printer uses the serial ports, Comm ports, parallel or multiples as far as serial, parallel ports. One of those printers, "Canon MF6590" was wirelessly hooked up to a Silex radio for use at the main computer. I have several devices, i.e., smart phones, tablets, and two laptops who are flapping in the breeze as far as sharing printers, files, music, and videos. It is possible the public domain is an easy set up to manage, but let a person know these changes will happen, may happen or even, "the nice to know" did happen attitude.
I don't know how to begin to fix this issue, with the exception of tossing the ethernet device and requestor out the front door. Anyone who is willing to go down this road with me is a prince or princess and I would very much like to figure this out with one brain, but I know two brains, at least, are a needed fact in this situation!
Anyone have an Excedrin they aren't using?
