Hello all,
I am currently implementing several Hyper V servers for several customers. However, I want to manage them all but don't want to have a lot of management environments. What I would like to do is the following:
10 customers at different location
Setup 1 System Center 2012 server in a data center.
Manage all the 10 customers their hyperV server from the system center located in the data center.
I know that a lot of techniques will have to be dealt with like firewall, portforwarding etc however, I just want to know if what I want makes sence. I know it is still a bit vague as I didn't mentioned exactly what I would like to do at the servers.
I would like to do the following:
- Get reports of the HyperV servers in OPS manager
- Deploy Virtual machines to the Hyper V servers
- If the customer has several HyperV servers ( located in the same building so via LAN ), manage those clusters and migratie VM's between them if necessary.
I won't set up a cluster between those locations because of the slow bandwidth and I don't want to have data from 1 customer to be located on the server of the other. So no data will be transfered between those servers ( no migrations no nothing ).
Does anyone has any input for a beginner like me?
I do have experience with it and am currently learning System Center ( exam 74-409 ). Any remarks, comments, suggestions or compliments for the great idea ;) would be appreciated.
