virtual servers not showing up in VMM unless manually refreshed

Hello. We have a SCVMM server which is currently managing 2 different hyperv clusters.

Cluster A has virtual servers running in it, and the hosts are 2008RR2 while the VM's are a mixture of 2003, 2008R2, 2012 and 2012R2 and uses 4 separate cluster shared storage volumes for the VHD files.

Cluster B hosts are all 2012R2 and has a single cluster shared storage file, but *not* one of the ones used by Cluster A.

I am trying to move servers from Cluster A to Cluster B. In that process, I shut down the original server (Cluster A), copy the vhd files and folder structure over to the new cluster shared volume (in Cluster B), import the machine file to Cluster B and then update the server to .vhdx. The hosts only show the virtual server if I right click and select 'refresh virtual machines', then within a minute or so they disappear again.

I have created a couple fo brand new servers in CLuster B, and they stay listed all of the time.

Any ideas what is missing when importing the existing servers?
