Dear all,
We use SCVMM 2019 to manage multiple Hyper-V clusters. Since a certain build of Windows 10 (1803 if I'm not mistaken) a bug has appeared in SCVMM which sets the Operating System value of those machines to "Unknown" each time the VM is refreshed
(which VMM does periodically). When a VM has it's OS set to "Unknown", there are some minor issues. One of those issues is that the RDP option is no longer available when trying to connect to a VM from SCVMM. The issue has been described before:
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/f7d98b69-5d97-4c1f-bcee-45e910563efb/after-upgrading-to-scvmm-2019-all-windows-10-vms-has-operating-system-unknown?forum=virtualmachinemanager
In that issue it is said that the bug has been reported to Microsoft, and that a fix will likely appear in the next SCVMM Update Rollup. In the meantime we have a script running periodically to fix this issue. We would however like to know when the next UR will become available, and if it will address this issue.
Kind regards,
Steve
