Hi, we have created a farm of 6 hyper-V hosts being managed by an instance of SCVMM 2012 SP1. Our VM' are failing to connect to the physical network. We have two logical networks (VM-A and VM-B) and the VM's when booted fail to get an internet connection. The logical networks are linked to the external virtual switches on the hyper-V hosts.
Our hyper-v hosts are running Windows Server 2008 Enterprise R2 SP1.
In the documentation though, it says that to have VM's see external physical networks, a gateway must be added, with a pre-requisite being a gateway provider. There is very little information regarding gateway providers. Can anyone on the SCVMM team shed any further light on this requirement? Do we need a gateway to have our VM's see the outside physical network? Our goal is to use our local physical LAN to register VM's created from these hyper-V hosts on our local domain.
