Hi everyone, question about the 'Convert Virtual Machine' function in VMM2012SP1. So i have four ESXi hosts with quite a few virtual machines on them. I found out that ESXi hosts can't be added to a VMware vSphere server. So my dilemma is how to get the ESX vms into a Windows 2012 hv cluster. One way i read about is to copy an ESX vms .vmdk and .vmx files to a VMM library share. You can then run the 'Convert Virtual Machine' action against it. When I do this, it errors out near the end of the process with either an 802 or 2927 error. Here's the questions: Does VMM2012SP1 support this type of conversion using .vmdk and .vmx files? Does anyone have any recommendations on a better way to convert ESXi vms into Hyper-v? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.
