VVM 2012 - Snapshots

Hi

I was trying to find URLs on what snapshot facilities are available in VVM http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg671827.aspx in the 2012 context, both for Hyper-V and VMware VMs. e.g. has there been advances in what features are available ?

I can't find much on this topic. e.g for many tests, you don't want the VM created from scratch, just wound back to the snapshot then the s/w installed and actioned from this.

e.g. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff603564.aspx  has some manual steps, does not mention vmware, but does not have references on how to automate this.

Also how do i resolve the impression SCVVM supports vmware http://technet.microsoft.com/library/gg610683.aspx, yet in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd997438%28v=VS.110%29.aspx then have a column saying it is not supported ?
