First, let me elaborate on the environment I'm dealing with:
I have a domain (domain1.local). In this domain, several System Center 2012 management servers reside (like Service Manager, Operations Manager and Virtual Machine Manager). I also have another domain (domain2.local), which is a regular domain with a domain
controller and a few clients. I also have a separate VLAN, which for example contains an Operations Manager Gateway. The management servers in domain1.local can only connect to servers in domain2.local through this VLAN for security reasons.
Through the Operations Manager Gateway, I can get Operations Manager to connect to clients using the gateway server in the VLAN. Currently, I'm looking for a way for Virtual Machine Manager to connect to hypervisors in domain2.local, so I would get the following
situation:
Virtual Machine Manager management server --> 'gateway server' in VLAN --> actual hypervisor
How can I accomplish the desired configuration in Virtual Machine Manager? Does Virtual Machine Manager have a similar gateway server, like Operations Manager has or are there other ways to achieve this in Virtual Machine Manager?
