I have an existing Failover Cluster of Server Core 2012 that I tried to remove from System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2012 SP1. At first, when I tried to remove it, I got Error 2606 where the object was locked. Then after rebooting, I tried to remove the cluster again, and it took away five of the six nodes, but node 3 is stuck there. Now when I try to remove it, even after a reboot of the VMM server (database and console all in one server), it gives the following errors.
Error (20400)
1 parallel subtasks failed during execution.
Error (2605)
Unable to connect to the VMM database because of a general database failure.
SQL error code: 547
Recommended Action
Ensure that the SQL Server is running and configured correctly, then try the operation again.
No other action that I have done in VMM has caused this, and I can find no other evidence of a database problem. How can I completely remove this cluster (showing only one of six nodes) from VMM so I can re-add it? I don't want to affect the cluster itself, because it is running numerous production VMs.
Thanks
