Hi There,
I recently installed scvmm 2012 sp1 and worked with my SAN provider to get SMI-s working. Additionally, I am able to utilize SAN transfer between 2 of my 2012 hosts.
I'm having issues with my 2008r2 hosts in that they are not allowing SAN transfer - network transfer instead.
The main error I seem to get is that the XXXX VM is placed on a basic disk which contains other volumes and SAN transfer cannot be used.
We are configured for 1 VM per LUN so I'm not sure why it would be stating this message - (I noticed in some old documentation you had to install VDS for server 2003, but I don't see any references to additional installs for 2008/2012)
any ideas?
2 other items that are worth mentioning - these are not clustered hosts and we store the VM Configuration files on the same LUN as the vhds (one lun per vm). in some cases we're using drive letters, in other cases - mount points.
Thanks for your time,
Blake
